I gave my fiancé a diamond cross necklace for our one year anniversary of being together as boyfriend and girlfriend, and I cannot begin to explain the excitement that I felt when I gave it to her. The look on her face was priceless, and I actually took a picture of her when she first saw it with my camera phone so that I could remember it forever. I love my fiancé so very much, and I always want to remember the look on her face when I gave her the diamond cross necklace so that I can remember to always be a good husband and remember to treat her like a princess.
I knew that she would love the diamond cross necklace because she loves jewellery and she loves cross necklaces. Ever since we first met she had told me about the love that she has for cross necklaces. Apparently it runs in her family, because for every child that is born their Grandma would buy them a cross necklace to wear when they got older. She still wears her cross necklace to this day, and because she loves the type of jewellery so much I figured that she would be able to wear the diamond cross necklace for special occasions.
When I gave it to her I swear her eyes looked like they were going to pop out of her head. We went out for dinner to celebrate the anniversary, and as she looked down at the dessert menu I placed the necklace right in front of her. These cross necklaces are so beautiful and so powerful at the same time! I placed it there so that she would be able to see it when she looked away from the menu and before she saw anything else. She looked down at it and was speechless. I have to admit I don’t remember if I had ever seen her speechless before, but it happened then. She looked up from the necklace, and then at me, and saw my smile and instantly started shrieking. Normally I would find this to be incredibly embarrassing, but I can’t deny that it was the cutest thing that I had ever seen. After she was done shrieking she came over to me and gave me a big hug and a kiss. I will always remember the night not because I gave her the necklace, but because it is the happiest that I had ever seen her.
